Your safety comes first — always. If something at a stop makes it impossible or unsafe to do the job, use the Report Issue option right in the job detail screen. You never have to enter an unsafe situation, and Bryan gets notified right away.
- 1
Open the Jobs screen
From the bottom nav tap Jobs. You'll see your active and upcoming stops for the day. Tap the stop where you ran into a problem.
- 2
Tap 'Report Issue'
Inside the job detail screen, look for the Report Issue button — it sits below the job checklist. Tap it before you start the completion wizard.
💡 You can also tap Report Issue mid-job if something comes up after you've already started.
- 3
Choose the issue type
You'll see a short list of common issues: Loose or aggressive dog, Gate locked / no access, Hazard or safety concern, and Other. Tap the one that best describes what you found.
- 4
Add a quick note
Type a sentence or two describing exactly what you saw — for example, 'Large dog loose in backyard, came at the fence.' The more specific you are, the faster Bryan can fix it.
💡 A photo is optional but really helpful if you can safely take one from outside the property.
- 5
Submit the report
Tap Submit. You'll see a confirmation screen that says the report was sent. Bryan gets notified immediately and will reach out to the customer to sort it out.
- 6
Mark the stop as skipped (if you could not complete it)
After submitting, the job detail screen will let you mark the stop as unable to complete. This keeps your route accurate and makes sure you are not held responsible for the missed visit.
💡 You will not lose pay for a stop you could not safely complete due to a reported issue — Bryan reviews every one.
- 7
Move to your next stop
Head to your next job as normal. Bryan will handle rescheduling or follow-up with the customer directly. If he needs anything else from you, he'll text you.
💡 If you ever feel unsafe and need to talk it through right away, use the 'Text Bryan' button on your Home screen.
Common questions
Will I still get paid if I report an issue and skip the stop?
Yes. If you reported a legitimate issue that made the stop impossible or unsafe, Bryan reviews it and you are not docked. You are paid for completed, photo-verified, approved jobs — a stop you couldn't safely complete does not count against you.
What if the issue is something minor, like a gate latch that's just stiff?
Use your best judgment. If you can get in safely and do the job, go ahead and complete it normally. Report Issue is there for situations where you genuinely cannot or should not proceed — like an aggressive animal, a locked gate with no way around it, or a real hazard.
Can I report an issue after I've already submitted the job?
The best time is before or during the job. If you noticed something after submitting and need to flag it, just text Bryan directly using the 'Text Bryan' button on your Home screen — he'll get it sorted.
Does the customer get notified when I report an issue?
Bryan handles all communication with the customer. Your report goes to him, not directly to the customer. Your phone number is never shared with customers.
What counts as a hazard I should report?
Anything that makes the job unsafe: an aggressive or loose dog, no safe access to the area, broken glass or sharp debris you weren't warned about, a wasp nest in the work zone, standing floodwater — anything like that. When in doubt, report it and let Bryan decide.
