Every job gets paid only after it's completed, photo-verified, and approved — so the completion wizard is your most important screen. Here's exactly how to move through it so nothing slips through the cracks.
- 1
Open the job from your Jobs screen
Tap Jobs in the bottom nav, then tap the active stop. You'll see the job detail page with the property address, any crew notes, and a Start Job button. Tap Start Job to launch the completion wizard.
💡 If the job isn't showing, check that you've already accepted the route it belongs to under Routes.
- 2
Take your BEFORE photos first
The wizard's first screen asks for before photos — take these before you touch anything. Get wide shots of the whole area plus close-ups of any problem spots. Honest photos protect you if a customer ever questions the condition on arrival.
💡 Good light matters more than a fancy camera. Step back far enough to show the full yard or patio in at least one shot.
- 3
Work through the checklist
Scroll down to see the job checklist — each item is specific to the service type (pet waste, weeds, patio, junk, etc.). Check each item off as you complete it. The wizard won't let you move forward until every box is checked, so don't rush.
💡 If something on the checklist genuinely can't be done (locked gate, aggressive pet), don't check it off — use the issue field to note it instead.
- 4
Re-secure all gates before you leave
This is a big one. Before you take your after photos, walk the perimeter and latch every gate exactly as you found it. A pet that gets out because of an unlatched gate is a serious problem. Make this a habit on every single job.
- 5
Take your AFTER photos
Once the work is done and gates are secured, take after photos from the same angles as your befores. Show the full area clean and clear. The side-by-side comparison is what Bryan reviews to approve the job and release your pay.
💡 Match your angles as closely as you can — a before and after from the same spot tells the whole story at a glance.
- 6
Add any notes (optional but helpful)
There's a free-text notes field before you submit. Use it if you spotted something worth flagging — an area that needs extra attention next visit, a gate latch that's loose, or anything unusual. Bryan reads these.
- 7
Tap Submit for Review
Hit the Submit for Review button at the bottom of the wizard. The job status changes from In Progress to Pending Review and it drops off your active list. Bryan will review your photos and checklist, then approve it — usually the same day.
💡 Once submitted you can't edit the job, so double-check your photos loaded correctly before you tap Submit.
- 8
Watch your Earnings screen
After Bryan approves the job, the amount moves from Estimated to Approved on your Earnings screen. Approved earnings are bundled into your next Stripe payout on the normal schedule.
💡 If a job sits in Pending Review longer than expected, just text Bryan — there's a Text Bryan button right on your Home screen.
Common questions
What if I can't complete a checklist item — like a locked gate or aggressive dog?
Don't check it off. Leave it unchecked and describe the situation in the notes field before you submit. Bryan will follow up with the customer and let you know how to handle it on the next visit. Never fabricate a completed item.
My photos didn't upload — what do I do?
Don't tap Submit yet. Stay on the photo screen and try re-adding the images. Make sure you have a data signal (or Wi-Fi). If you're in a dead spot, wait until you drive to better coverage before submitting — the wizard saves your progress.
How many photos do I need to take?
There's no hard minimum, but at least one wide shot and one close-up for both before and after is the right baseline. For larger properties or messier jobs, more photos are better — they back you up and make Bryan's review faster.
Will I get penalized if a job comes back for revisions?
Not for honest mistakes. If Bryan needs more info or a re-shoot, he'll reach out directly. The goal is accuracy, not perfection — just be thorough and truthful and you'll be fine.
What counts as a 'completed' job for payout purposes?
A job is completed when Bryan approves it after reviewing your checklist and photos. Submitted jobs that are still Pending Review haven't been approved yet, so they show as Estimated earnings, not Approved. Approval is usually same-day.
