Once your Stripe payout account is connected, every completed, photo-verified, and approved job triggers a direct transfer straight to your bank. The setup lives in your Onboarding section and takes just a few minutes — your bank details go directly into Stripe, and Ah Crap never sees them.
- 1
Open the crew portal and go to Onboarding
Head to ops.ahcrapcleanup.com on your phone and log in with your magic link. Tap Onboarding in the bottom nav. You will see your onboarding checklist with each step listed in order.
💡 The portal is a web app — add it to your home screen for one-tap access, just like a regular app.
- 2
Find the 'Connect your Stripe payout account' step
Scroll down the checklist until you see the payout step. It will show as incomplete until you finish it. Tap it to open the Stripe setup flow.
💡 If this step is grayed out, make sure you have already e-signed your onboarding documents — that step needs to come first.
- 3
Tap 'Connect with Stripe'
You will be taken to a Stripe-hosted page — notice the stripe.com address in your browser. Everything from this point on is handled entirely by Stripe, not Ah Crap.
- 4
Enter your personal details
Stripe will ask for your legal name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. This is standard identity verification required by US banking regulations — Stripe uses it to open your payout account.
💡 This information is stored securely by Stripe. Bryan and the Ah Crap team never see it.
- 5
Add your bank account
Enter your bank routing number and account number, or link your bank directly through Stripe's instant verification option if your bank supports it. Double-check the numbers before you continue — a typo here is the most common reason payouts fail.
💡 Use a checking account, not a savings account, for the smoothest payouts.
- 6
Review and submit
Stripe will show you a summary of what you entered. Review it, then tap Submit or Agree and continue. Once Stripe confirms, you will be sent back to the Ah Crap crew portal automatically.
- 7
Confirm the step is marked complete
Back in your Onboarding checklist, the payout step should now show a checkmark. If it still shows incomplete after a minute, refresh the page. If something went wrong on Stripe's end, tap the step again to retry.
- 8
You are all set — now get to work
From here on, every job you complete with honest before-and-after photos and get approved by Bryan will trigger a Stripe transfer to your bank. Check your Earnings screen anytime to see estimated, approved, and paid totals.
💡 Transfers typically take 1–2 business days to land in your bank after a job is approved, depending on your bank.
Common questions
Does Bryan or Ah Crap Cleanup Co. ever see my bank account number?
No. Your bank details are entered directly on a Stripe-hosted page and stored entirely within Stripe. Ah Crap only ever receives a confirmation that your payout account is connected — nothing else.
When exactly do I get paid?
You get paid per completed job — meaning you finished the work, submitted honest before-and-after photos, and Bryan approved the job. Once a job is approved, Stripe initiates the transfer to your bank. You can track the status of every payout on your Earnings screen.
What if I entered the wrong bank details?
Go back to Onboarding in the portal and re-open the payout step to update your information through Stripe. If you are having trouble, text Bryan directly using the 'stuck? text Bryan' button on your Home screen and he will sort it out with you.
Do I need a Stripe account before I start, or does it get created during setup?
Stripe creates your payout account during the setup flow — you do not need an existing Stripe account. Just follow the steps and Stripe handles the rest.
Can I change my bank account later if I switch banks?
Yes. Head back to Onboarding at any time and tap the payout step to update your banking details through Stripe. Your previous payout history stays intact.
